    Oval Base 202 With 302 Ringer Box/ Subset
    Up for auction this original  Oval Base Western Electric 202/D1 cradle phone. The body, plunger. numbercard and fingerwheel have been professionally powdercoated a gleaming black.  It is married to a 302 base subset/ringer box with new brown cloth 4 conductor umbilical cord. Beautiful sounding two gong ringer to signal incoming calls.  Specially cast 302 ringer box covers made by Recumbent Castings, very nice, new condition, no cracks or damage. These make for an authentic subset for this great old phone. It has a very nice #5 dial cleaned and adjusted to Western Specs. All numbers are crisp and clear. Beautiful buffed out F style handset. Along with the new cloth umbilical cord, we have also replaced the handset cord with an era correct brown cloth cord. It has new felt applied to the bottom. There is a 6ft line cord going from the box to plug into your wall. This phone will work on any STANDARD landline. Certain newer modems or other VOIP phones systems will require a "Pulse to Tone converter" to dial out. These are readily available online, otherwise, it's an answer only telephone. Don't miss out on this hard to find telephone. Use it daily or add it to your collection.
