This is a rare and valuable tournament used Tiger Woods / Loren Roberts scorecard from the 1997 Final Round of the Motorola Western Open. 1997 was Tiger’s first full season on the PGA tour and the Western Open was Tiger’s 6th win as a professional. Woods kept score for Loren Roberts in the final round, so this scorecard is Loren’s and was with Woods (golfers exchange scorecards and keep score for each other) while he was on the course that day and the numbers on this scorecard were put there by Tiger after each hole was completed. Tiger and Loren Roberts both signed the scorecard to make Loren’s score official after the round.
The scorecard is a piece of history, showcasing a momentous occasion in Woods' golfing career. Many remember this win because it was the first time that Tiger went to #1 in the World Golf Ranking and because of the large crowds that walked with Tiger up to the 18th green on his way to victory.
