Description
This item is the pictured letter from Senator CARL HAYDEN of Arizona on his U.S. Senate letterhead in 1966 to Mayor John V. Lindsay of New York City. It certainly seems from the green ink that this was personally signed by Senator Hayden, who was President Pro Temp of the U.S. Senate -- I believe actually elected to Congress when Arizona first became a state and certainly an historic figure of Arizona history. The letter is in very good condition -- it was kept in a book and not exposed to light or wear; two holes were punched on the left side for insertion in the book but it was then kept flat and well protected for the last 50 years. Certainly an item of interest for collectors of various categories of political material.
